Tip 2: Work out what you need
Starting a business or creating a campaign can be a mammoth task. Think what will best suit your needs. What will your target audience connect with? Great logo, smart business cards, snazzy brochures, flashy web sites, cool email campaign. Work out the game plan to factor in what bang you'll get for your bucks.
Tip 3: Get involved with the design process
Before you make a start, take time to understand the design process. We'll explain to you how it works and point out the ins and outs. don't worry, it's not too hard! Read, listen and ask questions if not sure. Once you get it, you'll get much more from the relationship, things will become clearer and you'll love it!
Tip 4: Tell us what you think, be honest
When you've been presented with concepts for something new, give us some feedback. Be as honest as you can, and tell us what you think. If you like or don't like an idea, explain to us. Great designers don't take criticism to heart, providing they get it in a constructive form - so explain the 'why' and you'll get better results.
Tip 5: Love your business, love your brand
Designers can get very attached to their work, to the point where they want you to become attached to it. So get to love your work. Think about it, talk about it, promote it as much as you can. If you love something so badly it'll fly much higher and as a result influence the people. Your love will rub off and your success rate will be higher!
